Alton Towers fans are 'gutted' by the closure of one of its iconic rides.
The theme park is bidding farewell to one of its rides today, June 3, as The Postman Pat Parcel Post shuts for good.
A staple since CBeebies Land first welcomed families, it's been enjoyed by millions of families over the years.
In its place, plans are afoot for a new junior rollercoaster currently referred to as Project Sunshine, reports Stoke on Trent Live.
A spokesperson for Alton Towers said: "As we continually look to refresh and enhance our guest offer, Postman Pat Parcel Post ride will be closing in preparation for future development work at the resort.
"Our website has been updated, notifying guests of the planned closure."
Responding to the announcement, one mum said: "I'm heartbroken I can never take my daughter on it."

Another said: "So sad to see this ride go! It’s been a must do for us and our son over the years, there’ll be no more photos to add to our collection."
The UK’s only CBeebies Land, the attraction celebrated its 10th anniversary last year.
It opened in 2014 and includes a host of attractions such as Hey Duggee Big Adventure Badge, Andy’s Adventures Dinosaur Dig, and JoJo & Gran Gran At Home, plus Go Jetters Vroomster Zoom ride, In the Night Garden Magical Boat Ride, Something Special Sensory Garden and Octonauts Rollercoaster Adventure.
In addition to a large range of rides, the Land also has indoor and outdoor play areas and a full programme of live entertainment.
As well as CBeebies Land, the resort is also home to the UK’s only CBeebies Land Hotel. Uniquely designed for families, the hotel has a range of fully themed rooms including brand-new for 2024 Bluey rooms, plus Bing, Postman Pat, In The Night Garden, Octonauts and Something Special; bursting with music, stories, and adventures for little ones to enjoy, it also offers the chance for kids to meet some of their favourite CBeebies friends throughout the day and into the evening.
