A police search is underway after police chased a car down a one-way street in Bolton on Sunday (June 8).

Officers spotted the black VW Golf on Lever Edge Lane in Great Lever which intelligence had suggested was linked to the supply of drugs across Bolton.

But after the driver failed to stop, a pursuit followed as the vehicle then sped down a one way street near to Derby Street.

The car was then abandoned and the driver fled the scene on foot, with enquiries now ongoing to trace them.

A search of the vehicle by responding officers then uncovered a quantity of drugs, believed to be Class A, Greater Manchester Police said.
