Chaos at Chester Races as assault leaves man in hospital with serious injuries
A man was left seriously injured after an assault at the racecourse in May
A man was left with serious injuries after an "altercation" broke out at Chester Races in May. Three men were assaulted at the horse racing, which resulted in one 56-year-old man in a serious condition, police say.
The incident occurred at around 5pm on Saturday, May 31. The men, aged 56, 33 and 42, were assaulted during an altercation with two other men, Cheshire Live reports.
The 56-year-old man suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital - he is now recovering at home.
DC Craig Logan said: “I’d urge anyone who was at the races that day and witnessed the incident to contact us so that we can progress with our enquiries.”
Two men aged 27 and 49, from the Middleton area were arrested and have since been bailed.
