Coronation Street fans think they have spotted Glenda Shuttleworth's 'downfall' when it comes to managing the Rovers Return as they spotted her habit.

The much-loved character has been behind the bar since her arrival in Weatherfield in 2022, when she made her first appearance as the sister of established character, undertaker George Shuttleworth.

But, with Jenny Connor being forced out from behind the bar, Glenda has been asked to step-up until actual owner Carla Connor can find new people to take over the beloved boozer.

In her time in charge so far, fans have been thrilled to see Glenda spring into action, subjecting the Rovers visitors to a bit of a performance during her stints on the karaoke mic, seemingly to Carla's disdain.

Glenda's also managed to do a bit of hiring while managing the beloved boozer. Last month, Glenda was seen complaining to Rovers' owner Carla about the ongoing staffing issues, but the Underworld factory boss wasn't keen to hire anyone yet as she looks for a buyer.

But Carla later changed her mind as she walked in on a spat between Lauren Bolton and step-daughter Betsy Swain, which saw her long-time friend Roy Cropper caught in the crossfire.

When Roy put in a good word for Lauren and Carla agreed that Lauren could have a trial shift, with Glenda quickly taking her under her wing behind the bar.

It was then during Monday's (June 9) Corrie that viewers spotted a habit of Glenda's that may not see her make much of a success of the pub.

@DonnyMacEdin said: "#corrie is Glenda trying to bankrupt the pub with all those free drinks?" @doodlesk commented: "Hey @itvcorrie is Glenda trying to run the rovers in to the ground with all the free drink she's giving away #Corrie."

@ChrisHydeCoope1 noted: "Glenda hasn't charged for a single drink all evening #Corrie." @DionPetrie echoed: "Is Glenda giving free drinks to everyone #Corrie." @swarlaera2 shared: "Glenda just handing out drinks on the house like there's no tomorrow. Sure Carla will be happy with that #swarla #corrie

But it hasn't stopped fans loving Glenda, and particularly her relationship with brother George. @its0l_ commented; "George and Glenda are great. #Corrie." @claireh5611 posted: "Absolutely love Glenda and George. #Corrie."

@ScottTHFC23 typed: "Glenda and George scenes together always so good #corrie." @Dee_Cee95x added: "Said it before and I’ll say it again, George and Glenda are two of the best additions to Corrie in the past few years. Great on-screen chemistry and both just suit the cobbles so well! #Corrie."
