Emmerdale's Paula Lane shares 'gorgeous afternoon' with former co-star after exit
The actress reunited with Rebecca Sarker months after leaving the Dales
Emmerdale's Paula Lane updated her social media as she reunited with former co-star Rebecca Sarker just months after her departure from the Dales.
The actress joined the ITV soap in 2024 as she took on the role of Ella Forster. Ella found herself a job in the village after she stuck up for Mandy Dingle at a Veterinary Ball.
Paula entered the Dales after leaving Weatherfield behind when her Coronation Street character, Kylie Platt, departed after being murdered in 2016.
Ella had a difficult time in Emmerdale, particularly after her split from Dr Liam Cavanagh when he decided he had feelings for Chas Dingle.
We also saw Ella's past resurface as a journalist from the Hotton Courier blackmailed Wendy into sharing more information about Ella Forster, who served time in prison for killing her friend at 11 years old.
Paula bid her final farewell to the Dales recently when Ella was arrested after holding Liam hostage, determined to prove that she hadn't spiked Chas - viewers will recall that John Sugden was the guilty party.
Taking to her Instagram on Tuesday 10th June, Paula posted a snap of her and Rebecca Sarker (Manpreet Sharma) as the friends and former co-stars had a catch up.
She wrote: "We didn't get chance for a pic so sharing this oldie for nostalgia... Had the most gorgeous afternoon with this one @rebeccasarker. So much to share and catch up on"
Rebecca reposted the story and added: "Mi Amiga" followed by a red heart emoji.
While still in the Dales, Ella and Manpreet were good friends with the latter confiding in Ella about her being blackmailed over posting racy photos of herself online.
Once Manpreet refused to side with Ella over Chas Dingle's claims, Ella shared her online secret leading to Manpreet asking her to move out from their shared home.
In a video filmed during Paula's last day on Emmerdale, she said: "Today is Valentine's Day, and I'm actually about to finish shooting my final scene on Emmerdale as Ella. I just wanted to say I have had a lovely time here. I've met some wonderful people and I will really cherish the experience.
"I just want to say thank you all for your support and your messages." Hinting at her future, she continued: "I hope you get to see me on some new dramas in the future or on stage, or wherever life now takes me in my career.
"Honestly everything is all positive, there's no negatives to spin on this. She is a brilliant character and never say never, who knows. lots of love from me."
Emmerdale airs on weekdays at 7:30pm on ITV1 and is available to stream on ITVX.
