Footage shows mayhem on Salford street during 'serious disorder' as cars and bikes screech down road
Riot police were called to disorder
Shocking video shows the extent of 'serious disorder' in Salford this afternoon as cars driven by masked young people screeched by a gathered crowd.
A white Fiat 500 could be seen being driven erratically with the boot open, frequently mounting the curb. The car sped along, narrowly missing a crowd and passing traffic on more than one occasion.
As well as the Fiat, a black car could also be seen speeding up and down, at one point with several figures appearing to be clinging to the roof and hanging out of the windows. The car's front bumper including the registration plate was missing.

Cars tried to pass the mayhem, which had seen Lower Broughton Road barricaded off with wheelie bins and vehicles. One member of the public can be heard saying to passing motorists "don't go through there mate".
At one point a masked figure on a motorcycle pulls up by the window of a car, which then turns around and comes back the way it came, while in another clip the black car narrowly misses an oncoming truck.
Other clips show masked figures on motorbikes weaving in between the cars, with the riders pulling wheelies as the engines rev loudly.
A large group of around 50-60 people had gathered on the road, many of them appearing to be wearing masks and with electric and pedal bikes.
One car was later shown to be a burned out shell, while another was heavily damaged in the chaos.
Police have since responded robustly to what they have called "serious disorder" on Lower Broughton Road this afternoon (June 11).
Officers were called to Lower Broughton Road at around 1.30pm after a crowd of between 50 and 60 people gathered, blocking the road off with cars and wheelie bins.
GMP have said that bricks were thrown at officers and the windscreen of a police vehicle was smashed.
The force has since confirmed that a 16-year-old girl has been arrested on suspicion of assaulting a police officer.
A dispersal order has been put in place, and GMP has said that "a large number of officers" will remain at the scene.
Superintendent Marcus Noden said: “This sort of behaviour will not be tolerated and we took robust and appropriate action.
“In response to this disorder we have dispatched a large number of officers to the scene, and we now have a dispersal order in place until 2pm tomorrow afternoon (Thursday 12 June 2025). A large number of officers will be remaining in the area over night as a precaution.
“We are aware of speculation online that this incident is linked to immigration, this is categorically incorrect.
“There are currently no ongoing incidents in the area, however, tensions remain heightened, and we have robust plans in place, should we need to respond to any further incidents.
"I would also like to thank members of the public for their patience and support while we continue to deal with this incident.”
