German Doner Kebab is giving away free food tomorrow

The Doner Rice Bowl features signature doner meat, spiced basmati rice, salad, and a choice of sauces

The popular kebab brand, German Doner Kebab (GDK), is giving away 500 free Doner rice bowls in Manchester on Wednesday (May 7). The giveaway is part of the launch of their new Doner Rice Bowls.

The dish is made up of GDK’s signature doner meat, salad and rice. The meal has been made to shift the public's perceptions of kebabs and hopes to offer a healthier, yet indulgent alternative for lunchtime, they say.

To claim a free bowl, customers will need to look out for the GDK street team who will be stationed across Oxford Road, Stevenson Square in the Northern Quarter and the Fallowfield campus in the morning and early afternoon handing out GDK branded bowls.

Guests can take the bowl to the nearest participating GDK location to claim their free lunch. They will also get to personalise their bowl, with a choice of doner meat (plant based options available), basmati rice, fresh salad, and a choice of GDK signature sauce - yogurt, garlic or spicy.

The Doner Rice Bowl joins an already varied menu. The brand now boasts a full plant-based doner range, a breakfast doner option, and a commitment to a halal-friendly menu.

This giveaway will take place in Manchester on Wednesday, May 7, 2025 between 7.30am - 9.30am and 11.30am - 2.30pm only. The Rice Bowls can be redeemed at German Doner Kebab’s Oxford Road and Wilmslow Road locations only.
