Greater Manchester couple charged with drugs smuggling after Heathrow Airport arrest
The pair were allegedly caught with cannabis worth £1 million after returning from Thailand
A Greater Manchester couple were arrested at Heathrow Airport after being stopped on their way back from Thailand.
Sian Warren, 34, and Daniel McDonald, 36, were arrested by the National Crime Agency on suspicion of importing cannabis valued at £1 million into the UK.
It is alleged that officers discovered more than 51kg of cannabis in the couple's luggage after landing at the London airport.
The drugs were allegedly carried in four suitcases.

Ms Warren, of Chaddock Lane, Tyldesley, and Mr McDonald, of Highgate Lane, Little Hulton, were both charged with importing Class B drugs.
The pair appeared at Uxbridge Magistrates' Court, where they were granted bail under curfew ahead of their next court appearance.
They are next due to appear at Isleworth Crown Court on Thursday, June 26, the Sun reports.
