Major road closed with emergency services called to scene after crash

A biker was hurt

A major road was closed last night after a biker was hurt in a crash.

It happened on Bury New Road, near the junction with Scholes Lane and Hilton Lane, in Prestwich, at around 9:25pm on Wednesday night (June 4).

Police said they were called to reports of a road traffic collision involving a car and a motorbike.

The road was closed whilst emergency services dealt with the incident.

A Greater Manchester Police (GMP) spokesperson said the bike rider was treated for 'minor injuries.'

No arrests have been made.
