Man, 38, charged after reports 'gun seen during fight' in Manchester city centre

A man has been charged after reports to police that a gun was seen during a fight in Manchester city centre.
Greater Manchester Police said on Sunday that Michael Towley-Hall, 38, of Third Avenue in Clayton, Manchester, was due to appear before magistrates on Monday.
A force spokesperson confirmed he's been charged with possession of a loaded firearm and ammunition in public place, and possession of a Class A drug.
Officers were called to Peter Street in the city centre in the early hours of Saturday.
In a statement, GMP said: "Officers were called to Peter Street in the city centre in the early hours of Saturday 7 June after reports that a gun had been seen during a fight.
"A man was arrested at the scene.

"Michael Towley-Hall, 38, of Third Avenue, Clayton, Manchester, has been charged with a series of offences - possession of a loaded firearm and ammunition in public place, and possession of a Class A drug.
"He has been remanded into custody to appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates' Court on Monday - June 9. The charges follow a response and investigation from Op Custodian, CID and Special Operations officers."
No further details have been released.
