More than 80,000 people will be heading to Heaton Park this month for the 15th anniversary of Parklife - which will feature a big line-up of artists including 50 Cent and Charli XCX.

Taking place on June 14 and 15, the popular music festival will also span multiple genres with acts like Jorja Smith, Rudimental, Flo, Peggy Gou, Pawsa, Bicep and Confidence Man.

This year, Parklife will introduce some new changes to proceedings including a brand new stage, Matinée, which will feature a 360° DJ booth, as well as a new location for VIP & Backstage areas, which will be situated right in the centre of the park.

With an exciting line-up, this year’s festival is expected to be just as popular as ever - and that means it is important to know how to get there and back without stressing or missing out on any big acts you’re keen to see.

We’ve rounded up everything you need to know in terms of shuttle buses and travel passes, as well as how to get to Heaton Park - including drop-off points and nearest taxi ranks, should you need to use them.

What is the Parklife travel pass?

The Parklife Travel Pass allows you to travel on any bus or tram service in Greater Manchester - including the direct Parklife Shuttle Bus (we’ll get onto that shortly).

Tickets cost £8 per day, or £14.95 for a weekend pass. You can buy the pass online now via the Manchester Bee Network app, which is available on iOS and Android devices. To buy the pass, open the app and select tickets - choosing the 'multi-modal' option. You can then decide between a one day or a 2-7 day option, before choosing the Parklife ticket option.

QR codes, valid for travel, will only become valid on the day of use.

The shuttle bus leaves from Lever Street in the Northern Quarter, dropping off right outside the festival site. Buses will depart every ten minutes from 9.30am on Saturday and from 10.30am on Sunday. The last bus on both days will depart at 4.30pm.

Heading back, buses will operate back into Manchester via the North Exit site of the festival grounds. The return buses will operate from 6.30pm and will continue until the site is clear, dropping passengers off at Shudehill Interchange in the city centre.

Trams will operate every six minutes from Victoria to Heaton Park during the day. For entry to the event please use the Heaton Park stop, located close to the West Gate entrance.
