Air fryer's are one of the most popular cooking gadgets on the market right now with plenty of home chefs using them more than they do their conventional oven. It's easy to see why - they cook food faster and can often be a healthier alternative since they use far less oil.

The one downside to most air fryers is that they can take up a ridiculous amount of space on a counter top, especially if you have one that uses two drawers side by side. There's one gadget from Ninja that solves this space-sapping problem by stacking the two drawers on top of each other, but it usually comes at a pricey premium.

However, Amazon is currently running an extremely rare discount on the Ninja Double Stack XL Air Fryer that has seen it drop to a brand new all-time low price, beating out its Black Friday 2024 price. Normally £269, you can currently get 31% off the cooking gadget at Amazon with it now selling for £185.

The Ninja Double Stack XL saves counter space by stacking its cooking containers on top of each other.

The generous 9.5L capacity lets you feed up to eight people at once thanks to the large drawer sizes that are further separated by an internet shelf. As they're stacked on top of one another, it lets you reap the benefits of having two cooking containers while claiming back some of your counter-top space.

It comes with six different preset cooking options, including Air Fry, Max Crisp, Reheat, Dehydrate, Roast and Bake. It's possible to set different temperatures and timers for each drawer, with a single button letting you time the compartments so they both finish at the same time.

I own the smaller version of this double stack air fryer and it's made my life so much easier since picking one up, especially since I'm strapped for space in my small flat. It's also super useful for cooking with my vegetarian partner as we can cook similar meals at the same time without my meat contaminating her food.

There are a couple of other brands that make air fryers with a stack design, like this one from Haden. It has an 11L capacity and is on sale for £63.80, down from £99.

Alternatively, Tower makes this model called the Vortx XL Dual Stack. It also has an 11L capacity and is available for £148.12.

The Ninja Double Stack XL Air Fryer has a 4.7 star review rating on Amazon with over 1,600 five star reviews. "This thing has absolutely no business being this good. It’s like having a tiny kitchen wizard on your counter who somehow knows how to make chips better than you ever could," writes one reviewer.

Another happy shopper said: "I own a lot of Ninja products and love this for its space saving qualities and the colour is gorgeous. It comes with a very handy set of tongs." Meanwhile, a third wrote: "I have wanted one for ages. Finally bit the bullet after using my girlfriend’s one. So easy to use. And you can cook loads of things as well. If you haven’t got one of these then what are you waiting for?"

However, some shoppers did find the cooking times to be a bit slower compared to some of Ninja's other air fryers. "With the heating element at the back of the machine and a fan that blows the hot air across and not top down, things don't cook evenly. They recommend you put the crisper plate at the higher position to counter this, but it does not stay in place at all," says one review.

Another chimed in with: "Looks nice and space saver, but compared to my original ninja double 9.5l it doesn’t cook anywhere near as good, slower and uneven unfortunately."
