They will appear in court today after Ibrahima Seck was killed
Three teenage boys have been charged with murder following the death of Ibrahima Seck.
The 14-year-old died on Sunday evening (June 8) following an alleged stabbing in New Moston.
Greater Manchester Police says three boys, two of whom are aged 14 and one aged 16, have now been charged in connection with his death.
They have been charged with murder and possession of a bladed article.
They cannot be named for legal reasons at this time.
Both boys have been remanded in custody to appear at Manchester Magistrates Court later today (June 11).
A 37-year-old woman and a 14-year-old girl who were arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender have been released on bail, pending further enquiries.
Detective Chief Inspector Tony Platten, of GMP's Major Incident Team, said: “The last 48 hours has seen an extensive amount of police work, which has seen multiple officers working to help get the answers Ibrahima’s family deserve.
“Now that we have secured three charges, a new level of proceedings is active, and we will continue to work on our investigation as this progresses.
"Ibrahima’s family remain at the forefront of our minds and we will be remaining in close contact with them throughout the process.”
Following Ibrahima's death, his family said: "Ibrahima was a well-liked young boy. He was funny, caring, and hardworking.
"He was our best friend... he was so smiley and always made everybody laugh. He was a good boy."
