Manchester United will look to continue their business in the summer transfer window when it reopens on Monday, June 16.

This year, the transfer window was split into two phases due to the FIFA Club World Cup taking place in the United States. The first phase officially opened on June 1 and ran for nine days, closing at 7pm on June 10

Once it reopens for a second time, clubs will have a longer window to complete player transfers, with the deadline set for September 1. So far, United have completed the signing of Matheus Cunha from Wolves for £62.5million.

The Brazilian, who is currently on international duty, will join his new teammates when he returns to England.

As Ruben Amorim's squad looks set to welcome more new faces ahead of next season, the Manchester Evening News has taken a look at the latest headlines from in and around Old Trafford.

Juventus have Gyokeres as new 'obsession'

According to Corriere dello Sport, Juventus are alert to Gyokeres' situation in Lisbon. The Italian newspaper have described the Swede as their 'new, magnificent and tempting obsession'.

They are reportedly 'acting to close a deal' as they try to take advantage of all the noise between the striker and Sporting. The Portuguese giants are thought to have increased his transfer value from £50million to £67.7m - a decision that left Gyokeres 'angered.'

However, it's said that striking a deal would not be 'straightforward' but it would send a 'powerful signal' to their rivals in Serie A.

MEN Sport says: It's no surprise, to say the least, to see reports linking Juventus with Gyokeres. His performances over the past two seasons fully justify the level of interest he’s attracting this summer. United likely anticipated facing competition for the Swede.

There have been claims that Gyokeres is keen to leave Sporting this window to take the next step in his career - and that next step would almost certainly involve Champions League football. Juventus can offer him exactly that. But with several clubs in the race, this saga is far from over.

Real Betis make Antony 'decision'

Real Betis are reportedly seeking further talks over a potential move for Antony, claims the Daily Mail. The La Liga side are said to be keen on reopening negotiations following his successful loan spell.

However, Betis are believed to be preparing a new offer - another loan deal with a £35 million option to buy.

MEN Sport says: It's difficult to see Man United willing to accept another loan for Antony when theywould require £32.52m to avoid a loss under the Premier League's Profitability and Sustainability Rules (PSR). When it comes to Antony, the decision should be straightforward. Unfortunately, his time at Old Trafford simply hasn’t worked out.

Despite the significant investment made to bring him in, the Brazilian winger has failed to deliver consistent performances or justify £86m price tag. With United needing to balance their books and reinvest in strengthening key areas of the squad, offloading Antony on a permanent basis should be a priority. A sale would not only help the club comply with PSR, but also create room for fresh, more effective options in the wide areas.
